About Me

Hi, I am Jenna! I am a dairy and produce farmer in MA.

I am a farm wife, a mom of two. I am a mental wellness advocate.

So what gives me the right to share my thoughts on raising dairy calves with you?

I was a calf and young heifer specialist for eight years at an elite dairy farm in Pennsylvania. I was hired to get a brand new facility off the ground. I designed (and redesigned) protocols for group housing and acidified milk. I found that both topics were very hard to find information on, particularly in the scale I was doing it. During my time I experienced a variety of challenges that we had to overcome and find solutions for.

My goal is to share these this information with as many people as possible. Raising calves takes a delicate balance of heart and science. As a Virginia Tech Dairy Science graduate who has been accused (many times) of caring too much, I would say I fit the bill.

Not only did I raise top producing dairy replacement heifers but I also ran an elite embryo transfer program that resulted in over 20 all American heifers, along with Wagyu for the best breeders in North America, bulls in stud, and more.

My methods may not be a perfect cure for every farm, but I hope to spark ideas and conversations that help you to develop your own solutions to improve calf care and raise healthier, more productive calves. Both you and the calves deserve it.
